At our Saw Mill we manufacture Northern Red Oak, White Oak, Hard Maple, Soft Maple, Birch, Ash, and Poplar lumber species. Lumber production from our band resaw allows us to produce 3/4`` through 12/4`` thickness. Our lumber is manufactured for furniture, flooring, cabinet, and millwork industries.
Red Oak

Red Oak is a very popular wood due to the fact that it is very hard wearing and heavy. Known for having lovely open wood grain markings. Oak can be purchased in two species white oak and red oak.

Hard Maple

Maple wood is a lighter pale colored wood with a closed grain. It is used primarily in floors and kitchen cabinets.  It is the ideal type of wood to withstand years of wear and tear.

Soft Maple

Similar to hard maple, soft maple  is also a closed-grained wood but softer and is more pliable. Soft maple is a good general purpose hardwood used for cabinets and furniture.  Soft maple lumber is often used as a substitute for hard maple or stained to resemble other species.

Cherry

The color of the heartwood of Cherry is a rich reddish brown. This reddish brown heartwood will darken over time with exposure to light and air. Cherry wood is particularly appealing to customers who are undertaking flooring projects.

Ash

Ash is a light colored to nearly white and the heartwood varies from greyish or light brow, to pale yellow streaked with brown. It is particularly suitable for furniture and food and liquid containers since there is no odor or taste.

Poplar

Poplar lumber is a sapwood that is creamy white and may be streaked, with the heartwood varying from pale yellowish brown to olive green.   Poplar generally ends up as painted product in its final application.

WHITE OAK

A versatile oak with many uses and qualities. This wood is straight-grained with a moderate coarse texture and a pale-yellow to brown color. It wears well and is resistant to exterior adversities. It produces some of the finest oak veneers and lumber while being easy to work with and bending easily. The most valuable aspect of white oak comes from its cells, which contain a honeycomb like substance called tyloses. This makes white oak watertight and thus great for boat building and ideal in making whiskey barrels.
